Booking Experts and Recras
Booking Experts is an all-in-one booking system specifically developed for the recreation and leisure industry, such as holiday parks, campsites, and group accommodations. The platform automates the entire process surrounding overnight stays. The integration between Recras and Booking Experts brings the Recras booking process (including activities, packages, and extras)straight into Booking Experts. This allows guests to book their activities and outings directly alongside their stay.
What the integration does

Sell activities with every stay: The Recras booking process opens directly within Booking Experts. This can be accessed in two locations: by staff via the Front Desk (under Apps), or by guests directly via the Guest Portal (in a dedicated Recras section within their booking).

No duplicate data entry: As soon as the booking process opens, contact details from the Booking Experts reservation (first name, last name, email address, phone number, address, postal code, city, and country) are automatically pre-filled. These fields remain editable for both the guest and staff.

Clear division of tasks (one-way integration): Recras strictly reads the required data from Booking Experts and does not write anything back. Activity bookings are received directly in Recras. Resource planning, staffing, equipment management, and invoicing for the activity are all handled within Recras. Booking Experts remains purely the system for the accommodation stay.

Configurable per administration: Do you manage multiple administrations within Booking Experts? No problem. You can link each administration to its own specific Recras booking process.

Secure and maintenance-free: Access is securely authorized through Booking Experts (OAuth). You do not need API keys or passwords, and permissions renew automatically. Recras only reads the data that is strictly necessary.
How it works

Start the booking process: A staff member or the guest opens the Recras app from a specific booking in Booking Experts (via the Front Desk or the Guest Portal).

Lightning-fast booking: Because address and contact details are already pre-filled, they do not need to be typed in again. The activity booking is completed in just a few clicks.

Directly in Recras: Once the activity is booked, it appears in the Recras system in real-time, ready for your internal planning and further processing (including the payment for the activity).
Connecting the integration
The setup starts in Booking Experts, not in Recras. To complete the integration in Recras, the Edit company details permission is required.

In Booking Experts, open the App Store and install the Recras app.

Approve the authorization request.

Booking Experts will redirect you to a Recras page asking which Recras subdomain belongs to this installation. Enter your subdomain; for example,
yourpark.recras.nl, and click Continue. -
Log in to Recras if you haven’t already.

Recras will finalize the connection and open Integrations – Booking Experts.

During setup, Recras detects which administrations belong to your Booking Experts subscription. These will all appear in the overview, each on its own line with its own booking process. If an administration is missing, install the Recras app for that administration in Booking Experts as well.
Selecting a booking process

In Recras, go to Integrations – Booking Experts.

Click Edit next to the administration.

Select the booking process to be opened and save.
(Each administration has its own booking process. The Front Desk and the Guest Portal use the same booking process).
