What is Recras and who is it designed for?

Recras is an all-in-one system for leisure businesses. It supports your entire operation, from bookings and quotes to staff planning, administration, payments and customer communication. Everything is managed in one place, giving you clarity and helping you work more efficiently.

Which types of leisure businesses is Recras suitable for?

Recras is highly flexible, making it suitable for a wide range of leisure businesses. Whether you run a climbing park, manage a family entertainment center or organize group activities, there is a good chance Recras fits the way you work. During an introductory meeting, we will explore together whether there is a true match. If Recras turns out not to be the right fit or we believe another system would suit you better, we will say so honestly and gladly refer you elsewhere. We believe in long-term partnerships, and those start with genuine satisfaction.

What makes Recras different from other booking systems?

Recras is not just a standalone booking tool, but a complete system that supports many, if not all, parts of your organisation. From bookings and customer communication to staff planning, point of sale, statistics and administration. Everything comes together in one place, so you no longer need separate programs. Recras already offers everything you need, but we are constantly evolving. Our developers work in six-week cycles to add new features based on user feedback and market trends. This way, Recras continues to meet the needs of modern leisure businesses.

I don't think I'll use all the features. Wouldn't that be a waste?

Recras is an all-in-one system designed to support many different types of leisure businesses. That means it includes more features than you might personally need. What’s essential for one business may be completely irrelevant for another. You’re not required to use anything that doesn’t apply to you, so the system stays aligned with the way you work.

Is Recras available in multiple languages?

Yes, Recras is available in several languages. The customer-facing side can be set up in different languages, allowing international visitors to book in their own language. Internally, you continue working in the language you prefer. If Recras isn’t yet available in your language, feel free to contact us to discuss the possibilities.

Bookings

Can visitors book online through Recras?

Yes, they can easily make online bookings on your website using Recras’ integrated booking system. You decide which activities are available online, whether it’s individual activities, group bookings or complete packages.

Is it possible to manage group requests and quotes?

Yes, Recras makes it easy to receive and handle group requests. You can quickly create a personalised quote, which is sent as a clear PDF attachment in an email. The recipient can accept the quote with a single click, making the entire process smooth and professional.

Does Recras automatically send emails, such as confirmations and reminders?

Recras automatically sends booking confirmations as soon as a reservation comes in. For reminders and follow-ups on quotes, you can use the blue buttons on the dashboard. These let you easily send an email at the right moment. This way, you stay in control and nothing slips through the cracks.

Are double bookings still possible?

No, Recras prevents double bookings through smart settings for equipment (such as climbing gear, boats, bikes or other supplies) and locations. The system automatically takes availability into account, ensuring everything is scheduled efficiently and double bookings are avoided.

Administration and payments

How does invoicing work in Recras?

Recras automatically generates invoices based on the reservation. You decide when the invoice is created and whether it’s sent along with the booking confirmation. This allows you to work with prepayments, deposits or payment on arrival. All invoices are clearly organised and can easily be edited or resent. This way, you stay in control of your financial administration without unnecessary manual work.

Can I receive payments via Recras?

Yes, via the connection with Mollie you can receive payments easily. Visitors can pay with iDEAL, Bancontact, SOFORT, credit card, PayPal and other common payment methods. You will need a Mollie account for this. Once this is set up, payments are automatically processed and linked to the correct reservation in Recras.

Does Recras support POS on site?

Yes, Recras supports POS on site. The system includes a simple cash register for counter or reception sales. A link to a Mollie pinterminal is also available. In addition, you can link Recras to various catering POS systems. So everything fits seamlessly with your way of working on location.

Staff planning

Can I schedule staff with Recras?

Yes, in Recras you can easily schedule staff based on activities, times and roles. The system shows where work is needed, so you keep an overview and everyone is in the right place.

Can staff report their own availability?

Yes, staff can submit their own availability in Recras. In addition, you can set qualifications per person, so you always schedule the right person in the right place.

Links

Which systems can Recras be linked to?

Recras offers links to popular systems such as Mollie (payments), WordPress (website integration), Exact Online and Moneybird (accounting). There are also links to cash register systems and other software that support recreational businesses. A full overview can be found here.

How does linking to my website work?

You obviously want an online booking request to enter into Recras directly from your website. Therefore, a special WordPress plugin has been developed that allows you to integrate booking forms, quote requests and contact forms easily.

Is an API available?

Recras is very comprehensive and offers all the features that most recreational businesses need. Are you still missing something that is important for your way of working? Let us know, we are more than happy to think along with you. For larger companies with specific requirements, Recras offers an API. This allows you to link Recras to your own software or external systems, or to have customisations developed that perfectly match your processes. Think, for example, of your own accounting link, external reports or a customised workflow.

Can I try Recras for free?

Yes, you can try Recras in our demo environment without any obligation. This will give you an immediate impression of how the system works and what it can do for your business. Click here to request a password.

What does the implementation process look like?

You can set up Recras for free and explore at your own tempo. There are no entry fees. Your own Recras will first be in a test mode, so you can explore and set up your Recras in peace. As from the moment you go live, your subscription will start.

Do you provide support in the transition?

Yes, we are happy to help you get started. However, you set up Recras yourself, because you know your company best and can therefore get the most out of the system. Naturally, we think along with you, answer all your questions and give practical tips where necessary. In addition, you can always schedule a free online consultation to see how best to set up the system. Together, we will make sure you get off to a good start.

How secure is the system?

Recras runs on a stable and secure base. We provide regular backups that keep your data protected, even if something unexpected happens. You can trust us to do everything we can to keep your business data safe.

Costs and subscription

What does Recras cost?

The cost of Recras consists of two components: you pay 0.5% on your booking value (turnover) and €5 per user who logged in that month (such as staff or external suppliers). For these two components together, there is a minimum charge of €25 per month. So the more you use Recras and the higher your turnover, the more you pay. Do you have a quiet month? Then you pay less. This is how Recras remains affordable for both small and large companies.

Will I be stuck with a long-term contract?

We may call it a subscription, but we don’t use a notice period. No small letters or long commitments. We believe in our product and consider customer satisfaction more important than obligations. So you keep the flexibility to choose what works best for your business.

Certainly! Recras is designed with usability in mind. In addition, the manual and videos are very comprehensive. And if you do need help, you can always schedule a free consultation to see together what the best way to use the system is for your business, even if you have been working with Recras for some time already.
