‘Recras takes a lot of work off our hands’

The Fun & Entertainment Center (FEC) in Sevenum was built in 2018. Thanks to its ideal location near vacation park De Schatberg, the FEC quickly became well-known in Sevenum and the surrounding area. From day one, the recreation center chose Recras as their booking system, even when misfortune struck.

Big fire

“Last year, we were hit by a large fire,” explains manager Teun Peters. “The indoor playground and the trampoline park were severely damaged, and we had to keep our doors closed for a long time. It was an unfortunate situation, but we did our best to make the best of it. The restaurant, bowling lanes, and laser tag hall have now reopened. Furthermore, we will soon be introducing several new concepts, such as a mini-golf course, X-Cubes, and a curling rink.”

The best choice

“We are currently preparing intensively for the reopening, which gives us the opportunity to redevelop, test, and try out various things. One thing is certain: we will continue using Recras as our booking system. We’ve used it from day one. Although we considered some other systems during the development of the recreation center, Recras was still the best choice.”

Personal service

Since the FEC has never worked with other systems, it’s difficult to compare Recras with alternatives, according to Teun. “What we really appreciate about Recras is the personal service and quick response time. They really work with us to figure out how we can organize our work and time more efficiently. If we suspect that more is possible, or we get stuck somewhere, we can always indicate this. And we’re confident that Recras can support us in that. That flexibility is very important to us.”

New booking process

“A new element in the Recras system is the booking process. This is exactly what we were looking for and truly sets Recras apart from other systems. People can now, for example, book a complete children’s party and decide when they want to do activities and at what time, without much effort or work on our part. This autonomous process is a huge plus. Previously, it was very labor-intensive and a lot of back-and-forth communication was required, but that’s now a thing of the past.”

The future

“At the moment, we don’t yet use Recras as a complete management system. This is due to the size of our company and the fact that we also have a food and beverage section. Right now, we use two separate systems for the hospitality part, including a cash register system that works well. But if Recras offers the ability in the future to replace these systems with an all-encompassing system, we will certainly consider the options!”
